Ben DeCastro, Author

Ben DeCastro has only one diploma – his Kindergarten one he received in June of 1986. After passing the next 7 grades in 8 years, he left school and began working a myriad of jobs before landing one that would help sharpen his skills in communication, marketing, event planning and advertising, working for the largest furniture retailer in Southern New England: Cardi’s Furniture & Mattresses.

He left Cardi’s in May 2016 to start his own business as a Social Media Consultant & Content Coach. He works with clients helping them to strategically develop & implement the content their customers are looking for. He’s also developed his own brand on Facebook, creating a web-series “Car Pooling with Ben”, and clean-comedy videos about a wide range of topics. Ben also works for the Pawtucket Red Sox, AAA affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, as the stadium voice during home games, is a fill-in host on News Talk 630 & 99.7FM WPRO radio, a Volunteer Fire Fighter & Marine Rescuer on the Warren Fire Department,

Ben has been a musician since the age of 6, starting with the accordion and eventually adding piano & drums to his arsenal. He’s played with a number of bands in the New England area, opening up for the national acts including The Marshal Tucker Band, Don McLean, The Drop Kick Murphy’s, and Darius Rucker. Of all the talented musicians & bands he’s played with, the highlight has most certainly been his role as Keyboard player for Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus in 2001.
